The Think tank

"Dabistan" can be understood as "school" or "place of learning". It's a Persian word, and it's also the title of a famous 19th-century book, "Dabistan-e Mazaheb" (School of Religions), which discusses different religious and philosophical traditions. In Persian, "dabistan" (دبستان) means "a place of learning" or "a school".
The Think Tank is a group of people who get together and talk politics, current affairs, religion, philosophy in an informal setting with the goal to share knowledge, dialogue and increase mutual understanding.

Our Idea

  • Dr. Ali Shamsi and Dr. Talal Khan created a group of like minded people to get together and talk politics, current affairs, religion, philosophy and sports in an informal setting with the goal to share knowledge, dialogue and increase mutual understanding.

  • This group includes friends from Western MA, Connecticut and Central MA. The initial meeting with the group happened on Friday March 1st 2024.
